Im going to the 9pm Imax 3D at Regal on Next Tuesday. Is it a waste or money or is it just as good as the real IMAX just without the Giant Screen?
From what I heard, fake imax screens show off real 3d better then regular screens so thats a plus. Regular screens don't adjust the brightness level to accomodate 3d movies so the movies always look darker than they should. imax, even fake imax, have brighter settings therefore the 3d will look great. Other than that I dont know. Only fake imax I have been to has been an AMC one and the sound is slightly better and the screen is just a bit bigger. I'd say, as long as you didn't pay through the roof, it should be well worth it.
