Is it me or has this been happening to other people a lot.

i'm using Firefox version 2.0.0.1...never had this problem when i was using version 1.5x...I have the following installed: AdBlock Plus, AdBlock Filterset.G Updater, FasterFox, Tab Mix Plus, TalkBack, Video Downloader, and Noia 2.0 Theme.

it mostly occur when i'm on Yahoo Mail and other websites (usually boards) at the same time...

this sucks, cause i like FF the best and i got IE7 installed and can't stand the new IE layout of buttons. Makes me want to look at other alternative web browser (Opera) or downgrade back to 1.5.

I have the new one, and no crashes yet. I don't think FF has ever crashed on me, not once.

Firefox has crashed on me maybe once every two weeks at work, but my work PC is extremely buggy anyway. I think it's only crashed once or twice at home, usually when loading very high resolution pictures.

I've heard that FF 2.0 has some memory leaks. I'm an IE7 user though so I really can't comment.

Mine works fine. Out of the extensions you listed, I'm using fasterfox, tab mix plus, and video downloader. I'm using regular old ad block instead of the plus version.

I had whatever the version before 2.0 was and it always crashed like every 2 or 3 pageloads. So I switched to Opera untill version 2.0 came out. IT has crashed since.

I'm using 2.0.0.1 and suffering from no crashes, I myself stopped using Opera because it crashed regularly under load. In my experience the add-ons are the most likely to thing to crash Firefox, either because of slight incompatabilities in an add-on or the install for one add-on has some how been corrupted, which often renders Firefox unstable, or totally unusable.

The best thing to do, IMO, is to uninstall the add-ons, including the theme, delete the extensions folder. Then reinstall one add-on, check if it crashes Firefox, then reinstall another add-on, and then check again, and so on.

For me fire fox will sometimes just dissappear. I get no message box or anything, it just closes on me. This usually hapens when I am going through websites too fast and opening too many windows.

It's happened once or twice as I recall, nothing major. And thus I discovered that when it restarts, it automatically loads up all the sites and/or tabs that you were browsing at the time of the crash.

cool, thanks bugmenot....did that and hopefully that'll work.

    i also noticed that i had 1.5 and 2.0 installed at the same time...i deleted 1.5, uninstalled all the plug-ins, uninstalled 2.0, re-installed 2.0, re-installed all the plug-ins.

one of those shold work, but i think the one you said would of work itself.
