I am a Transformers club member. I just ordered Alpha Trion from the club store on Monday. I pay $62.00 per year to be in the club. They better offer me the leftovers! I would disagree with a general release to the public. But offering the leftovers to club members is the right thing to do!

Don't worry, I don't buy any of the exclusives because they are way overpriced.
And I won't order them from the club either.

You guys who complain about these "exclusives" being sold outside of the con need to stop bitching. It gets old. Hell, it would cost us more than it cost you at the con, so what's the deal?

Mabe If they made like crappier versions of botcon stuff (seekers) to be sold publically (starscream quality). Then, botcon buyers will get to say, "I have the cool detailed exclusive version Thundercraker", and everyon else would say, "awww, well at least I got the normal crappy Thundercraker"

Uh, yeah. Since they sold out in like a day, I don't think anyone has to worry about the bottom falling out on those figures on eBay anytime soon.

I've never been to Botcon, but I always thought that the main things that made it special were the chance to congregate with other Transformers nuts, meet the actors and creators of the thing we like, and of course hunt for treasure in the dealer room.

I think he's talking specifically about the AT/WW sets offered by the Club Store post-BotCon, not the original boxed sets.

 

Ah, that's entirely possible, yes. I think I took it as boxed sets due to the preceding posts somehow leading me that way.

 

I meant the toys from this BotCon. That hasn't even been over for weeks and they're all sold out of all the toy exclusives.

 

That is part of it but they do advertise the exclusives. It might not be the main focus but it is an incentive for people to come. I'd go as far as saying if the exclusives didn't exist that many wouldn't even go to Botcon.
