Just wondering if anyone elese watched this flick? We seen it opening and it was dead, the movie kicked 40 different kinds of ass thou. Go see it now!
they called it superbad because nothing else seemed appropriate, and the name apparently means nothing whatsoever. After having seen it, I think Ultra superfuckingbad would be applicable, since this killed all other summer movies in the awesomeness category. Possibly the funniest of the three Apatow and Rogen films thus far.
McLovin was worth watching. The last half hour of the movie though was just meh. Needed more laughs than what the previews had already shown us. Credit drawings FTW, though. -Tony!
I saw it a coupla weeks ago at a preview screening, and thought it was absolutely hilarious, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and a unique coming-of-age comedy. I've loved Apatow's stuff since "Freaks & Geeks," and thought that this was definitely a worthy addition to his and Rogen's stuff. I'll definitely Netflix it again when it's on DVD.
I saw it. Liked it but I'm not totally taken with it. I thought a lot of it was kind of slow and the two main characters weren't nearly as interesting as the 3rd support character which definitely knocked points off for me. I didn't let their whole "NEED TO FUCK" quest bother me tooooo much but it's definitely not the way I look at women and sex in general but uhhhh I do realize it's just a movie about horny teenagers and no harm intended so I didn't really judge it badly based on that Uh otherwise I guess I don't have much complaint, it was pretty funny and I'll probably grab the DVD
Friends took me out to see for my birthday. It was a pretty good movie. Mclovin deserves his own movie. Some scenes kinda dragged on, but definitely worth the price of admission.
I saw it last night and got a lot of laughs out of it, but it did kind of lose steam near the end. I enjoyed seeing it but I don't think I would buy it.
Sawt opening night, and I thought it was pretty hit and miss personally. But the parts that were hits were grand freaking slams. The Iron Chef of Fhhahj FTW!
I loved the movie as a whole. McLovin just made the movie. The Home Ec. scene had me in tears. "It's bullshit, no offense."
I didn't really care for it. Actually fell asleep for half of the movie. Maybe the jokes didn't do it for me. Hot Rod was a much funnier film.
Am I the only one who got burned out seeing the commercials and stuff for the movie? It seemed every time I went to the theater I saw a trailer for it, and at first I was actually looking forward to seeing it. But after awhile I just got burned out seeing the trailer and all the ads I just got no interest in seeing it now. I may rent it down the line but I'm just so sick of seeing it every where I just lost all interest in it.
From what I saw of them, the trailers/commercials didn't provide anything that convinced me Superbad was actually worth seeing...or even much detail concerning what the film is actually supposed to be about. The impression I got was that it's an "American Pie" knock-off and that, combined with the involvement of the maker(s) of the "40 Year Old Virgin" and my general dislike of 'high-school' movies, convinced me to stay far away from this one.
I only saw the trailer once, and never saw any commercials for it, weird Scantron, the actual writing/directing team on this had nothing to do with 40 Year Old Virgin, the director of that one just helped produce this
