This was the only thing that detracted from the movie for me. The soundtrack used onscreen consisted of green day's "21 guns" and various versions of LP's "new divide. Its two songs, since even the music "score" used just LP new divide.

I think they must have gone through "21 guns" 5 times, before the action kicked in. That was slightly annoying.

But the decepti-girl was a pleasant surprise ! I'm glad that was never shown in the trailer, it totally caught me off guard !

i too noticed that the score during the movie was pretty underwhelming. it was like they didnt even record any new material for this movie. they just re-used TF1 stuff and a quasi-orchestral but not really version of that stupid linkin park song

    i was sad :\

"Burn it to The Ground" from Nickelback was playing at one point too. I wanna say during the drunken college students segment.

Did they play "21 Guns" more than once? I can only remember it playing once... along with I believe is Fray's "Never Say Never," Nickelback's "Burn It to the Ground," and The Used's "Burning Down the House."

Naturally, they would use Linkin Park's "New Divide" at least more than once during the film... it's practically the whole movie's theme song, for God's sake.

I could have sworn I heard a kind of remixed version of Skorponok during the final battle in Egypt. Anyone else hear this?

New Divide was only played twice. when they drove to the bakery and at in the credits.
21 Guns was played 3 times. Mikayla on the bike, walking onto campus, Mikayla at the computer. possible 4th i cant remember
Never Say Never during the kiss/goodbye scene
then Burning Down The House and Burn It To The Ground during the party scene

as a PS. i got REAL sick of effin 21 Guns lol. it got stale how many times they played it

The musical score is the stuff steve jablonsky did. It's the instrumental stuff. The sound track is the crappy rock music they through in the movie for no reason.

Their is a decent amount of new instrumental but since it is a sequel alot of the themese in the music are carried over. Theirs alot of new stuff playing in the final battle but you cant hear most of it. Get the score cd its got awesome stuff on it.

Does anybody know if the "extended score" has leaked on the web yet?

Exactly. I'm glad the lame "other music" was kept to a minimum. Not a single good song to be heard.
