Im on the complete oppisite of most the posts in this thread. i believe the Autobot campaign was the worst. the Decepticon Campaign was where everything happened, while the Autobot thing was just the autobots trying to fix what was done in the Decepticon campaign. the decepticon campaign also had a better thought out story-line than the autobot one.

 

I like the whole game, but I'm partial to playing the Autobots side because spending my evening with Peter Cullen's Optimus is like spending the evening with an old friend.

 

I wanted to play as the Decepticons more than the Autobots and that's one of the reasons I think this is such a great game. I've always been a bigger fan of the Decepticons then the Autobots and I finally have a game (not including those s***ty movie games) where I can play as them. If WFC had just been playable with the Autobots I would have skipped it completely.

 

I thought I wasn't going to enjoy the Autobot campaign as much as the Decepticons. But I got to see more of the Decepticons playing as the Autobots, so it worked out well for me.

The Decepticon campaign is more about discovery than resolution. But being hunted by Omega did seem to have more suspense than pursuing Trypticon.

 

I loved the Decepticon part of the campaign and I still enjoy playing as them on MP.

 

Campaign wise I preferred the Decepticon story, but agree it'd have been nice to have some Autobot battles in it, but understandably there's not much chance they'd have survived on to be playable in the Autobot campaign later.


I seem prefer playing as Autobots in MP though. Just seem to like their designs more.

 

I enjoyed the Autobot campaign the most, mainly because 1. Prison breakout stage, 2. Riding giant space slugs, 3. Soundwave fight, and 4. The Aerial Assault chapter. When the Bots noticed the mounts on the slugs, my grin was ear to ear.

 

Anyone Else Not Liking the Decepticon Campaign?

And I don't mean to say it's not well done, but when I play a video game, I like to play from the perspective of the hero, not the villains. And I know you can skip the Decepticon Campaign and just play as an Autobot, but it seems like that'd be skipping half the game.

I feel like I'm waiting to play the good parts.

Anyone else feel this way?

 

decepticons arent the real villains, they just want to bring cybertron to a new glory. i am decepticon fan and still i play the autobot campagin.

The Decepticons are the "heroes." To themselves, at least. You always play as the protagonists.

Not that the Con one was bad, I just found it a little boring.

Then again I do prefer the Autobots in general, so it's only natural I'd have more fun playing as them.

 

I really enjoyed both campaigns. I would have loved to play as the seekers more though.

 

I am on Chap VII as an autobot now.....LOVED the Decep campaign though.

I appreciate the whole story/ picture and I like the contrast of either faction.

ex. Barricade's constant back-talking vs Ratchet's pacifistic compassion towards his fellow bots

for the record despite what some gamer mags are saying, I thought the Omega Supreme battle was awesome and understand why it had to be so "long"

It's frigging OMEGA SUPREME !!!!

 

The Con Campaign is way better, especially chapter 2 of the con campaign.

 

I preferred the Decepticons for the simple fact that they rarely got one shotted by bosses the way the Autobots do with Trypticon and a few other spots.
