    hi folks,

just wondering if any of you out there own a variant classics hot rod like myself.

i thought i was the only with a variant til i read this news post:
BTS Toys BT-02 DX Classic Accessories Set - Transformers News

the classics roddy that appears here is entirely classics roddy except for the forearms. he has henkei forearms, noted by the orange wrist paint.

my classics roddy is entirely classics roddy except for a few minor details: 1) he has the henkei spoiler; 2) he has the classic's flame schema, but the autobot emblems of the henkei line....

    just really bizarre.

i was wondering if any of you have noticed anything different about your own hot rods?

    thanks,

    - KO

Dude, I recently bought a "Henkei Rodimus" off ebay, it was loose. When I got him, everything ewas Henkei except the spoiler. It was a classics spoiler. I accused the seller of swapping it out. Still, this could be the case. Anyway, want to trade spoilers?

Intersting, so were both versions of the toy produced at the same time? I thought the Classics/Universe Hot Rod was released months before the Takara version was released?

If it has a Henkei spoiler then it has to be a Henkei Hot rod, UNLESS someone switched it out for some reason. The Henkei spoiler is chromed, Hasbro never did that on any of their Classics/Universe stuff.

Roughly a year, if I'm not mistaken.

Classics Rodimus came out in September 2006. Henkei Hot ROdimus came out in June 2008.
