So i picked up Mixmaster last week, and i am very unhappy. I'm returning him because so. I can't even get him into a pose for display. I was looking at him to see if i could fix him, but no. Now i do have a good excuse to return him other than it sucks. There is a broken piece on it. Doesn't effect the transformation, but all my figures must be perfect. So does anyone else hate Mixmaster, or dislike him?
roft mixmaster? no way. i love the toy. especially when i kept the legs extended. *instead of folding them back* it's like general grieves as a transformer lol. except well done this time
I'm not a fan either. I'll be putting him up in the Junkion with Leader Jetfire in the next couple of days, actually...
Actually, I think it's one of the best Voyagers from ROTF. Really nice alt mode, fun and involved transformation, and a well-articulated and creepy/alien bot mode. The only bad part is the "third mode", but luckily he looks just as good posed on all fours bringing his cannon to bear as he does on two feet.
I love the living bejeezus out of him. Easily my favourite RotF toy to date. I have no problems posing him, and unlike a lot of the movie designs, he actually conveys a lot of personality.
I love his truck mode. If hasbro just somehow made his mixing tank turn, it would be perfect. The robot mode just sucks to me. The arms are annoying, and i can't tighten the legs to help him stand. On top of it the back kible is just stupid, the truck piece doesn't even stay up. I HATE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Au contraire, it's super secure. There's a fold-out tab under the hood that plugs into one of the cannon hinges. Once those parts are connected, that cab shell's not going anywhere.
I gues mine just has some problems. Well with the extra money i might be buying a sweet old vw bug roof rack for my Scirocco
I don't mind his robot mode so much. I like the truck mode a lot. I wouldn't go rush out to buy him, if I did it all over again. I spent a lot of time driving looking for him a while ago. Now I see him all over.
I think Mixmaster (and many other movie line Transformers) are awesome because they let you be the judge on the final transformation. Sometimes with a lot of other lines, you are simply limited to one configuration of certain pieces, but the movie line seems to have nailed it...giving the fan the final say on where and how to transform certain pieces. Again, Mixmaster is a shining example of this. I'll give you one thing though...he's tough to master in regards to his transformation!
