That 'Ruined Forever' button gets hammered earlier and earlier... The fact of the matter is, its entirely too early to call these things.

Some really awesome ROTF things came out a year or more on into the toyline's lifespan. Which, if we're keeping score... is a long, long time *after* stolen prototypes of the first wave of figures hit the internet.

I think Megatron looks pretty badass. A Movie-verse Megatron whose arms both have functioning elbows with no ******ed weapon-hand gimmick or gimp arm? Hell, yes! Megs will bought on sight.

As for the rest, I'm willing to wait and see actual product before I claim the toyline is garbage.

I suppose this will be my chance to finally get a movie-verse edition of Megs (this one is better than the others), Ironhide, and Ratchet.
i also mentioned getting that dlx Starscream to display in alt mode next to my ldr 'Screamer.

i wanted that recon Ironhide last year, but that lightning bolt pattern bugged me and i am too lazy to rub a figure with alcohol.

Never been a fan of the movie toys and so far they haven't shown anything that changes my mind. Maybe if there are some hybrid figures toward the end of the movie line that might pick my interest up.

Which is kind of bad because if it ends up like the Revenge of the Fallen toy line I've got the feeling I'll be seeing the same Dark of the Moon figures on the pegs for a long time.

Looks good on your fan resume if you hate Bay stuff before you've seen it.

You forgot, a bunch of bad photos of mis-transformed toys. I guess Hasbro went downhill with the franchise.

Hasbro use paint??? Not if they can possibly help it.

My least favorite thing about the movie line is that Takara tends to release toys with the exact same paint aps as Hasbro.

There is a reason I have so many Takara Transformers, and that reason is PAINT!!!

    Very disappointed.

I really hope what we saw was just a small part of the line which happens to be the worst part of it.

The only figure I like is Voyager Megatron... But I don't like it enough not to want a Leader one.

    can't say i'm disappointed yet...

i hate bay, he's a hack, a worthless good for nothing.

but that will in no way prevent me from buying something that looks cool....like voyager Megatron. That thing is an easy purchase for me.

    good day.

I think it's too early to tell for sure, but I can say that the Mech Tech (is that right?) gimmick is going to be a pretty large turn-off for me based on what I've seen so far. I'm ok with this, though, as it will be much easier to turn down those impulse movie purchases that I've had such an issue with in the past!

I don't know after two movies and the toys lines that went with them shouldn't people have some idea if they like the Bay stuff or not? I just don't see the visual style totally changing with the last film.

    :lol

Sorry, but you are basing your predictions of how well the movie line will sell only off of stolen prototypes that are possibly mistransformed and in pictures of varying quality. I'm also amazed you think there's going to be a lot of shelfwarmers.

Clearly, you do not seem to understand that these new figures are NOT Tuner Mudflap, or that you can not predict how well a line will do simply by looking at a few pictures of unreleased figures.

The movie line as a whole will not shelfwarm. If Hasbro releases them at the proper time close to the release of DOTM, they will sell because kids will want the NEW Optimus Prime, etc.

We will only be able to know how well DOTM will sell when it actually hits shelves and how fast product moves.

No, the first movie line and ROTF were completely different.

If there were some kind of pattern shared between the two, then maybe you could have an idea. But the first line was a glorified repaint series, while ROTF had a lot of original molds and began blending movie styles with Classics towards the end.
