    Cause I know I am. Even though this has been attempted twice already with the Universe and MTMTE books, they weren't ever complete enough for me. I'd love to see a profile collection for every character in US, Europe, and JP G1 and G2, plus characters that have been added after the fact, like the E-Hobby characters and IDW characters, and the fiction exclusive characters, like the G1 fembots, Arcee, Impactor, Straxus, Xaaron, Jhiaxus, etc.

    Then, I'd like to see a follow-up book covering the Beast Era, but better than the IDW sourcebook.

    Sound cool to anyone?

    They should do it with UT and Aligned first.

    It'll just become obsolete after a few years when new takes on the characters and new robots are introduced.

    Transformers History never becomes obsolete. It just gentle gets older. It would be a massive undertaking though to write a fully comprehensive Transformers History. Especially if you started with Micromen and the Diaclones and ended up with Transformers Prime and a preview of Transformers 4.

    The size and nature of the TF universe makes a wiki or online database much more effective at remaining complete and relevant than an actual physical guidebook.

    I mean, you don't see many physical encyclopedias around anymore, do you?

    Probably not. I prefer plot driven comic books from Transformers over character driven stories.

    I doubt there could ever be a truly COMPLETE TF profile book...and that would just be dealing with G1, with Hasbro and Dreamwave and now IDW continuing to add and retcon in characters over the past decade, whether new or from other continuities or just embellishing peripheral one-sceners from G1's original run.

    That said, wouldn't bother me. I doubt I'd buy it since there'd probably have to be another one years down the road, but it wouldn't hurt.

    There's also the problem of characterization discrepancies. Is Shockwave Megatron's loyal janitor or a cunning, cruel logic-machine? And which personalities do the Omnibots get? Japanese bios? Unused Marvel bios? Dreamwave bios?

    It's a cool idea, but it would take a looong time to write.

    TFWiki.Net already does this more completely and fully and up to date than any profile book could ever dream of being.

    If completion is your goal just read the wiki.

    -ZacWilliam, would love a physical book of profiles for characters not yet covered by one, but for bredth and completions sake they're never gonna match the absolute minutia the wiki covers every second of the day.

    great idea but maybe in small "bytes." Perhaps series grouped in 2's and 3's

    perhaps the "Early Years," "Middle," and the most recent being "Modern."

    examples
    Early = G1, Beast Wars
    Middle = Armada, Energon
    Modern =Animated Series, Prime
