First off, I love the show. But the toys were a dissappointment to me. I bought Soundwave, Prowl, Jazz (who was ok) Bumblebee, Blitzwing, Grimlock and Ratchet so I gave them a chance. I just sold them all on Ebay. They were just a little too "tooned" for me. Looking forward to the next animated season, but not for the toys. Am I the only one not collecting Animated?

I think the show is allright, but I'm not a big fan. Some of the toys are really nice though, and I bought the first few waves, but like you, I've sold a lot of mine.

I've kept Grimlock, Swoop, vgr Starscream, vgr Prime and Lockdown though. My favorite figures for this line are activators Prime and Starscream, and can't wait for Grimlock and Megatron.

I'm definetely not a completist of this line.

I was tiered of waiting for classics 2.0 so I broke down and bought 6.

    Vgr Starscream & Grimlock

Dlx BB, Lockdown, Soundwave, & Prowl.

I'm amazed at the show accuracy and enjoy the toon. Still it isn't my cup of tea and I'M ready for this series to wrap up and move on to something more my taste.

I wanted Prowl, bought him and love him, plan to get the sidecar/armor version.

I then also bought the 2-pack, Oil Slick, Lockdown, and Grimlock. Disappointed with each one, so likely no more because of the disappointments as well as not being a huge fan of the looks and wanting to cut back on the money and space my collection takes up.

I'm probably only getting Optimus, Grimlock, Megatron, Magnus, and Shcokwave. I am too far behind on collecting older toys to worry about the non-universe new ones.

Not collecting as such, but I've picked up a few of them. I currently have Starscream, Voyager Prime and Lockdown, plus a Cyb. mode Prime and Ratchet who are getting kitbashed. All fantastic.
I'll be picking up Shockwave for sure, but I'm not getting too many of the Animated line.
For the most part I'm concentrating on Classics stuff (and not even all of that), and Animated doesn't fit in with that.

I wish Hasbro stepped up their game by giving us Animated figures with really good qualtiy.
Hopefully, rereleases like Samurai Prowl will fix it.

Planned to only get a few, like Grimlock, Prowl, and Optimus. Now I have them all except the 2-pack and Voyager Bulkhead. I won't be stopping till the line stops. :)

Also skipping TFA, too childish for me to get into. I prefer more realistic designs with a more serious theme like the IDW Comics.

Loving TFA the series, but I've decided to skip the figures in favor of getting the Universe Classics.

If I have more cash I might go for both.

I think you summed up what I feel about them. I love Classics/Universe/Henkei, the movie line and the Masterpiece line. I guess I just like more realistic designs.

I have to agree with the Cartoony sentiments. I have Blitzwing,Deluxe Optimus, Voyager Megatron and the Dinobots and really don't see myself picking up any more other than Magnus.

Encore and Universe are my main focus as of now.

I didn't like them at first but the cartoon eventually grew on me and so did the figures. I'm a completist, once I buy one I have to buy all of them.

I'm not collecting animated. I love the show, but I'm interested in the toys themselves.

I planned to get a few Animated toys, but I've fallen in love with the line and will probably end up with most of the figures. In fact, Animated has kind of ruined the other lines for me. As nice as the new Classics are, I vastly prefer the smooth lines and cartoony look of the Animated toys. I'm honestly not sure if I'll be able to get into whatever comes after Animated if it goes back to the more classical style.
