It was just this type of nonsense that made DC comics nearly unreadable in the late 70s and early 80s. That was the whole point of the Crisis.

I can not fathom why they would want to go back.

And what does the new multiverse do to the concept of "hypertime"?
    Never mind -I don't care.

    They effectively ignored Hypertime.

Honestly, the multiverse thing is not as bad as people make it out to be. If you restrict the number of crossovers, all it is is just like the concept of Elseworlds, which we've had in a long time while DC kept trying to convince people that there was no multiverse.

Also, the new Earth 2 isn't the Pre-Crisis Earth 2... I'm not sure where I read it but I think they said the new one is basically what would've happened if it survived CoIE instead of Earth 1.

Kinda; a Batman Beyond appears in the Superman/Batman arc "Vengeance" but future Bruce calls him "Tim" instead of "Terry" for some reason.

I'm guessing that was just a typo.

You don't know that. According to Teen Titans, Tim Drake becomes Batman i nthe future. This may just be a combination of the batman beyond costume and Tim taking the mantle.

It was said to be a typo at the time, and said that they'd fix it in the trade, but it wasn't fixed.

No, in the story, someone is talking to Batman Beyond through the headset just like in the cartoon, so it's assumed it's like old man Bruce talking to Terry. Old Bruce refers to Batman Beyond as Tim instead of Terry.

On the package for the Batman Beyond style figure from that series, it says that he is Tim Drake as well. For what it's worth.

No. That would be Earth Prime. It was more or less supposed to be like the real world. There aren't any super heroes, and superman is a comic book character. Superboy Prime got his powers right before his world got destroyed during Crisis. So far, there is not a new earth prime in the multiverse.

Closest thing to that could be SUPERMAN: SECRET IDENTITY, but I don't think they're including it in the Multiverse.

That's because it was an imaginary universe created by The Joker and Mr. Mxyzptlk in that arc. The Earth-12 version hasn't been explored yet. The only thing that has been confirmed is that the Green Lantern from Earth-12 will be in Countdown: Arena.

Any chance you might have a source on that?
