Well I think I'm going to go for Destro instead of Rodimus. Ostrich=pimp.

 

Does anyone have any idea what time the sale goes on? Midnight or sometime during the day? If it's during the day I might have big problems.

 

Last year Nemmy Prime went on sale at 9:00 am est....haven't heard anything concrete for Hot Rod yet....just a bunch of rumors....

 

Hopefully Hasbro learns from this and adds the SDCC exclusives on different days. Like add any SW stuff on Monday, GI Joe on Tuesday, TF on Wednesday. Would suck for those interested in all three having to order on seperate days, but could cut down on their traffic due to three major fandoms pouncing at the same time.

 

Nope, it was the TF fans. after the site crashed, came back online, and nemesis prime was sold out, the star wars exclusives were still plentiful until late afternoon. nemesis prime was gone within seconds of it going up.

 

I could've misread his post, but I believe he meant the Star Wars fans crashed the site buying their own exclusives.

 

I called both HTS and Hasbro Consumer Affairs yesterday. Result? Nothing.

 

This on the day the con starts? Or the day before?

If they crashed the site buying their exclusives, their exclusives would have been sold out when the site came back online. they werent. nemesis prime was sold out when the site came back online. we crashed the site. we depleted the entire stock of the figure in a few seconds.

Hasbro is really pissing me off with this. They need to tell us when the fuck they go on sale.

 

That's only if we assume there were really any N. Primes there to begin with. If I recall correctly, calling HTS during the fiasco led to many explanations of them not even having any in stock. It could have been a computer stocking glitch, there's no proof that WE did it.

No one can say for sure what really happened that day, let's just hope it won't happen again.

 

You're assuming the same number of SW exclusives were available to buy as Nemesis Primes. If I was Hasbro, I'd have made five times as many SW figures.

 

Well, with any luck hasbro will make sure there's shitloads of rodimus this time. they HAD to learn something from Nemesis Prime.

 

It probably won't be today, as i'm free, and have been checking every few minutes all day long. It'll be tommorrow, when i'm busy and away from the computer.  

 

That, plus the fact that this year's SDCC is coming after the release of a multimillion dollar motion picture. Even if the movie had flopped, I think there still would've been SOME increase in awareness and demand for the Transformers brand.

But yeah, it's bugging me too that we haven't heard anything up to now.

 

Now I'm all paranoid about tomorrow. Guess its time to invest in some energy drinks and just stay up all night and day tomorrow watching HTS.com
