Has there been any news from Headrobots? I'm wondering what's going on with the Blood the Dark Warrior Upgrade Kit and Hothead Alternate Universe upgrade kit. Does anyone know anything? The Bludgeon kit declares it's release date as March on TFSource and April on BBTS. I've not seen any updates on their site in a while, so I was getting worried.
They sold a bunch of Gyro head kits (originally limited to 100, but because of demand they sold an extra 100 or so) and they are suppossed to be ready for Botcon. I imagine they are feverishly working to get those done and have postponed everything else. The guy that makes the kits is a member on here and I've heard they're customer service has been pretty good so far, so I wouldn't be worried if I were you.
BBTS Exclusive Headrobots: Alternate Universe Hothead Mini Figure Does anybody know if this is for the Universe figure or the original figure.
Hothead attaches to the neck peg of the Universe release, but also comes with an adapter piece that allows it to plug into the G1 figure.
Robot Kingdom lists Blood the Dark Warrior as coming in by the end of this month last time I checked, so if that holds up than hopefully within the next couple of weeks he'll start arriving at online retailers. I haven't heard of any updates on the Alternate Hothead. Unless it beats Black Rodimus somehow, I'll probably end up waiting on that to ship my PoL.
I'm more keen in their IDW Hothead Upgrade. D@mn, they sure taking a long time there (the wait, is killing me) so the final product had better be top notch.
I REALLY hope they do after Hardhead is all done. Vorath and a pair of guns would be awesome. However, I think they're doing Headmaster Onslaught(?!) after Hardhead...
Wasn't there a report/rumour that the Bludgeon kit had been massively delayed? For the life of me I can't recall if I read that somewhere or if I'm completely making it up. I have that and the Hardhead comic head on pre-order, but my feeling is that both are way off yet.
Delays don't bother me on 3rd party kits. I'd rather they be done right and delayed than to fall apart when I get them.
No you're not making it up. When they announced that Whirl head exclusive IIRC they said there were some problems with the Blood head and the Hardhead exclusive one for BBTS that needed to be corrected and delayed them a couple of months.
And if HeadRobots is reading this, make Vorath into a bat! That would make Mindwipe more, I don't know, Mindwipey.
