The Insecticon trio is on my "to buy" list, but I wanted to go for the official releases instead of Fansprojects. G1 figures are in consideration, but first I thought to check out modern version. Now we know Kickback is coming in the FOC/Generations line, for Bombshell I was thinking of getting Energon Insecticon, but now Shrapnel is the question: Are there any updated version or anything that can work as a Shrapnel for the time being? The closest thing I know is DOTM Crankcase, but he doesn't transform to a stag beetle.
Honestly, I think that the G1 Insecticons are all great toys, and I don't actually mind not having updates of them. Not to say that I wouldn't mind updates, though. Back on topic, are you willing to include BW figures? I know that there are several that might fit the bill for Shrapnel (like BW Insecticon).
