Man, I dunno, we joke, but if one dude was going to cop that attitude, I reckon it'd be Corey Burton! He's a man with remarkable respect for the projects he works on, and being a Disney regular, it's not like he can't afford to say no if he doesn't want to do it!

In the article he said he auditioned for movie one and they were pretty sure on him trying to play Jazz. There'd be two reasons, playing a character that iconically is voiced by a black man and Scatman Crothers may have been a close friend, so it might've felt disrespectful, and he must've already met bay and not liked the idea or the way bay directed. Corey has shown in good variety and particularly in TFA that he has unbelievable untraceable range. He said it more or less in his statement, he doesn't like blockbuster stuff. Maybe that is the reason, but it felt like a swipe at bay in the comments he made imo.
