Last year we had G1 Insecticons and Perceptor.
Who will be this year? Not who do you wish, want, need to be released this year. But I want this thread to be a confirmed list of reissues.

I can't imagine they would stop with those figures. Surely, something good is coming our way.

I was thinking this aswell, I would like the Dinobots (obviously) and more 1986 bots, possibly Targetmasters? And we need a poll for this thread :)

Hasbro probably won't do anything as far as reissues (the INsecticons, Perceptor AND 25th Optimus Prime were relatively weak sellers it seems).

Takara could still do something, especially with a new feature film promotion to back them up. Given the weak performance of many of the "hotly anticipated" Encore offerings, I'm not holding my breath for much outside of new runs for the usual suspects (Prime, Starscream, Soundwave ,etc)

But right now, there are NO confirmed reissues planned by either company at the moment

The reasons why reissues aren't a priority for either company should be pretty obvious to anyone who's been around a little while.

Oh boy an internet poll! After 10 years of people asking for Dinobot reissues, somebody has finally found a way to make Takara do what a couple of hundred people want them to.

If you are speaking strictly of US releases, then we also had Blaster and the Seacon set.

There was also the Predaking release from Japan which I would include as a 2011 Reissue as well.

Since we won't be seeing a Classics Blitzwing for a long time, why not a reissue?

biggest chance you reissue wanters have is probbaly sdcc this year.

I say both companys will focus on movie stuff first and mostly.

    Been there, done that
Though we haven't see a US release as of yet. But seriously, talking reissues, you are better off looking at Takara than Hasbro.
Y'know, I'm hoping the Seacons did well for BBTS, because I think going forward, online and con exclusives are probably going to end up the bulk of the market for reissues, especially given the performance of recent ones here in the US.

The SDCC Blaster sold out from the hasbro online store, so there HAS to be some kind of demand for the reissues...I think hasbro just has to be realistic, not overproduce, and market them to the right crowd...

With that being said, I'm a big fan of the reissues, and hope they continue to produce several a year...

Despite some snark earlier in the thread, I'd love to see the Dinobots reissued!
However, if no official word comes this year, I think I'll have to look into the knockoffs.

The reissue craze has died down for the most part because classics took their place. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see a new (re)reissue but don't expect them to roll out like they did in the 00's.

Looking into my Crystal ball... I see another G1 Prime in our future:lol

This. Or singles, or a 5-pack. However they did it, I would
    buy them all!

I think we have enough Primes.
And like I said, I don't want this thread to be a wish-list thread.
Yes, Predaking was at the end of 2010, so I guess he can be considered for 2011. But I'm wondering what's in store for us later this year. Keep in mind, I'm trying to keep this strictly to G1's. And yea the Classics did take care of some of that, but like I said, last year we had the Insecticons and Perceptor. Weather or not they were popular, they were still released.
The companies really don't know what will or won't sell till they give us the chance to buy them.
