Blast! Whatever happened to the rumors of the dinobots? We can assume that the molds of Suntreak, mirage and Wheeljack maybe damaged but...wasn't the Soundwave mold damaged also.

Last I heard, the Soundwave mold was "damaged", and they fixed it. Sunstreaker, Mirage, and Wheeljack molds have completely dissappeared.

At least that's what i've heard mentioned. I could be wrong. :)

Yeah, the Sunstreaker, Wheeljack and Mirage molds are supposedly: "Damaged beyond repair." The only way they were able to do Soundwave from my understanding is that they reverse engineered it using parts from the existing Soundblaster mold.

As for the rumors of the Dinobots I remember reading somewhere that the mold for Swoop was either missing and/or damaged. Either way, it's not like they combine so someone high profile enough as Grimlock should at least get a reissue at some point.

Anyways, I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Sure it's unusual to not have heard something by the time the last figure in the TFC line is released about the next figure, but that may be the staple now. Remember that we didn't hear anything about Blaster until a couple of months after the release of Kup & Wheelie. Hell, people (including Nevermore) were claiming that the line had been killed. It may very well just be that their merger with Tomy may have had Takara cut the line down to only so many reissues per year instead of the ten or more they once did.

Another thing to consider is that we've gotten alot more normal reissues lately that aren't part of the TFC line than we usually do. This may have something to do wtih why we haven't heard any news about anything upcoming from the TFC line yet either.

Finally, it's pertanent to realize that we've heard very little about any upcoming TF line from Takara-Tomy at this point. All I can really think of off the top of my head (besides finishing all the pre-merger releases like Twin Cast) is the second run of THS-02, MP Screamer and the TF Kiss crap that they're claiming they aren't even sure if they're doing.

Soundwave is a straight reissue of the 1985 Japanese version, which the Soundblaster mould was later based on. Not the other way around. The Cassette Man/Hasbro version mould has been destroyed. It is not possible to repair a damaged mould.

The exact wording, according to Steve-o Stonebreaker, was "long-since depleted".

Okay, but either way it means it's unlikely that we'll see any reissues of those figures. Unless there's some way to fix a damaged mold, but popular concensus says that there isn't.
