I know this is a long shot but sadly my google-fo skills have let me down so I need to ask for some help.

I'm trying to render out a sequence as a gif file and that's easy. The problem is the quality takes a nose dive. If dithering is on its grainy if I turn it off its like its in 4 bit colours. I've played around with other settings but apart from messing up the frame rate theirs no improvement.

So is their any combination of options that will give me a high quality image or am I just trying to use too many colours for the format? (as I'm currently suspecting)

gifs have a max of 256 colours yo, mpegs/jpegs always lose a bit of quality when converted.
