I wonder why the guy was cancelled? Such a cool character.

Maybe because DC didn't want the younger kids to have such a "negative" or "scary" image of their flagship character?

Supposedly the Cyborg assortment isn't supposed to come out until sometime here in July. And, nothing against the claims of some random guy on eBay, but I'll withhold judgment on the cancellation until BBTS cancels my pre-order on that assortment.

If it is cancelled, I'd guess the reasons are either (a) the character is a bit too obscure and they don't expect it to sell or (b) DC Direct is planning a Cyborg figure for an upcoming GL/Sinestro Corps line and didn't want the competition.

No, DC won't allow them "story specific" figures.

I have both versions of that DCSH Steel figure and I have to say I like the regular non chromed chest better.

Oh? But wasn't Mattel given the "master licence"? Implying that Mattel can make any figure they want?

I believe that has to do with all the upcoming movies.

Upcoming movies? But I've read on various toy forums, its the master license. This was even discussed on the fwoosh forums? Do you have any links on the above development? I probably missed that part out...man, if its just for the upcoming DC movies...then the figures that Mattel can release is going to be limited.

Read this. I don't believe Mattel will be producing Movie figs only. Anything's game now. I like the fact that DC Direct will still continue to release artist based lines.

Didn't wanna start another thread and since the Search function isn't back yet, wanna ask this question. Saw this.

The left is from the DCSH line and the right is from the Mattel Batman line correct?

It doesn't seem like the Mattel one has elbow articulation but the DCSH one does. Or is it my eyes? Plus, which one do you guys prefer and which is more color accurate?

Hmmm, the one on the left looks more frozen to me...so he looks cooler but then again we can see his torso so it looks a little silly! XD

Yes, the left one is from the DCSH line.
It has some extra articulation that the older version doesn't. I don't believe the old one had side to side leg movement, thigh cuts, elbows, ankles. I much prefer both the articulation and appearance of the DCSH version.
