I'm a Gundam fan but I'm pretty torn over the franchise as a whole as with Gundam it's a show I either really like or hate. My favorite Gundam shows are definitely the UC OAV's such as Unicorn, 0080, 0083, and 08th MS Team, and I love the original movie trilogy. This said I don't care for many of the TV series. Wing and SEED were ok but that's about it, all the longer UC shows like Zeta, ZZ, Victory, etc... I don't like at all and most of the alternate universe stuff like X and 00 I don't care for either.
What I love about Gundam X is the rich world it inhabits. In most Gundam shows you have the good guys and the bad guys duking it out and that's about it. In Gundam X however you get to go on a journey around this post-apocalyptic world and watch the crew of the Frieden deal with all these different groups and their agendas. It's very layered with more depth than your average Gundam show imo. Also watching everyone deal with and react to the power of the Satellite Cannon was interesting.
i love almost every gundam series but two: Seed:it is a HORRIBLE series, so horrible, that IT KILLED THE MARKET FOR GUNDAM IN AMERICA!!! we almost got zeta gundam instead of seed.......it can never be forgiven 00:i can't stand it at all, the mecha design look horrible, the show makes no sense.....i have tried SEVERAL times to watch it, and half way in every episode i watched i literally screamed out at the tv "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!" Thank God for Unicorn to finally give me new gundam that is ACTUALLY good
I've seen almost everything Gundam except Igloo... which i have, but don't want to watch due to CG. LOL Favorite UC show/OVA is 08th MS Team Favorite AC show is a tie between Turn A and X. P.S. G Gundam isn't a gundam show. Should have been relabeled something else!
Watch IGLOO! They did such a great job of showing what it was like when Zeon first invaded and people saw a MS for the first time. There is some epic Zaku action in there for sure. I could have done without the supernatural elements, but whatever.....Zakus.
I'm sorry, G Gundam isn't gundam. Gundam shows have always been about a pilot SITTING in a suit. It should have been renamed something else. NOT GUNDAM lol
ok i have heard plenty of arguments against g gundam "not" being gundam, but that is flat out stupid. remember, it is a different take on gundam, AN AWESOME one at that. it has a different control system, an awesome one i must say. your argument against g gundam makes no sense
Opinions don't have to make sense to anyone but the person whose opinion it is. I didn't like G Gundam myself. I won't bother telling you why so you don't feel like you have to list all the reasons I'm wrong.

Is there any chance we can keep this thread from devolving into the futile back and forth of people insisting their opinions are fact and so therefore anyone with a different one is wrong? I get enough of that stupidity in the TF movie forum. I realize this is the internet and I am making an unreasonable request, but it never hurts to ask right?
Gundam isn't a super robot anime. Just another reason why it's not really gundam. It was animated Super Sentai at best.
Master Asia single handedly beat the crap out of the Wing pilots. That in and of itself validates G Gundam in my book.
