QI XL Series J Episode 1 - Jargon - YouTube
Oh has the new series started yet? I'll have to keep a lookout for it on iplayer
Yes, it started a week or so ago.
Cool, I want to see how many people will get the obvious answer following with the klaxon! Mostly Alan Davies no doubt.
Its probably the 3rd best thing on TV, ever.
never heard of this, started the clip, and couldn't stop.
this is great.
I <3 Stephen Fry. Every time he goes on a rant about peoples lack of interest in academics I cheer him on.
But I can't bring the show up to a friend at work. QI discussed something, and combined with incorrect information I had been told from various sources over my life, he now views the program as an unreliable source of information.
I'm a fan. I have to admit though that I didn't start watching until probably the fourth series because I'd see it in the telly listings and it just sounded dull to me. It was only when I caught an episode while flipping through channels I got into it. It's difficult to explain the show to people that have never heard of it before though. That an answer can be wrong but they can sometimes still get points, and that if someone says the obvious answer that everyone thinks is right but isn't a klaxon goes off because the show makers predicted someone would say that wrong answer.
The first episode of the J series was hilarious, what with all the 'ejaculation' and 'jizz' stuff and the panel all riffing off it. And also because I have somewhat of a boner for Victoria Coren. She's apparently engaged to David Mitchell of all people.
My favorite QI moment,

Alan Davies is currently doing a standup tour and I went to see him in Nottingham last night.
After awarding himself several points for one of his jokes he said "There's no way I'm getting minus points in my own fucking show"!
He also says that he hears that klaxon in his nightmares!
