I was doing some cleaning out of old stuff at my mother's house and I found some G1 boxes and cards. For the most part they are far from pristine:

    - There are no packing inserts.
    - Items on a card (such as Decepticon tapes and Technobot smaller members) were torn from the card, not cut.
    - Tech specs were cut out, leaving boxes and cards typically incomplete.

Is there any demand/interest in such items or should I just recycle them?

No, there's demand, I'm interested if nobody else is. Especially if there's intact character art.

They are great things to hold onto for trade if you are In the markets for small parts and accessories, that is what I do with old packaging and techspecs/instructions. Depending on what box it is, I would consider paying cash for them.

that will limit demand somewhat most will only want what you have for character art but any one wanting them for tech specs won't be interested

Yes. Please don't throw them out. If you could list what you have and a picture that would help. I'll gladly pay for the shipping or trade something for them or buy them outright if the price is right. But please don't toss 'em!!

Now I'm tempted to dig out my G1 box clippings for a nose about. I know there's a stack of character artwork in there.
I know I've got these somewhere too, not that I'm planning on selling them or anything:

I really wouldn't mind replacing my G1 Megs' box. it's in shitty shape.
the styrofoam and everything else is great, though.

so I guess there be a market for this.

I should imagine it's like when people piece a vintage figure and the accessories together from various sources, just with packaging.

    I put up some pictures.

Note that I actually still have some of the figures (such as Hot Rod) and I wouldn't sell the box without the figure.
