Silver Dollars from 1794-95 were 39-40 MM. The Ike Dollar was the same size as silver dollars from 1840 on, 38.1 mm.
(Source- A guide to United States Coins by R.S Yeoman 53rd edition) This is the largest size coin that was intended for circulation.

The $50 commemoritave Gold coins that were issued in 1915 for the Panama Pacific International exposition, might be bigger, but I can not find size info on it. If I do I will update this post. EDIT - There are pictures in the book. I think all of the pictures are actual size. If that is the case the 1915S Panama Pacific $50 Octagonal is 45 MM in diamater. The round edition of the coin is around 44 MM in diameter.

The largest Denomination coin is the $100 platinum coin (1997-present). It is produced at the West Point Mint. It is not intended for circulation because the metal in the coin is worth FAR more than face value.

Try $1500 if you order from the Mint.
