Was just watching Peaugh's review of Alternity Megatron and I realized that i would love to pick those up if they were ever released in the states. Are they going to be released in the States?, or did anyone see anything of the sort at Botcon?
Thanks guys for all the info

I almost bit on a $40 Megatron at Botcon. Lowest I've seen.

Not a chance Hasbro will release Alternity. Other than the Nissan 370 Z, the other cars are unfamiliar to most Americans (including the rare GTR). Unless cars based on American models are developed there may be a chance, but otherwise, no. How much are American consumers willing to pay for these small cars? $20, $25? It may not be profitable for Hasbro to do so.

IIRC, Aaron Archer mentioned at Botcon 09 that Alternity was a solo project by TakaraTomy and that car licenses were exclusive to TakaraTomy only.

If Hasbro wanted to produce the Alternity figures, they'd have to approach Nissan, Suzuki, etc. for the licenses to do them.

So, not completely impossible but quite unlikely.
