Any chance of "linked" minicons being rereleased?

    Hello all,

In Armada there were tons of minicon molds that came with larger figures, as well as the minicons that came in the 3 packs. Most of the 3 pack ones were re-released in Cybertron in the small "VS" packs, but the individuals were only available with the larger ones.

Does anyone know if they plan on re-releasing the ones that came with Larger figures only? These would include the Leader-1 (megatron's) or Deadend (Unicron's), etc. They could make group packs of them.

I haven't been to any of the botcons/what-not to ask anyone in charge, so if someone else has, or it's been rumoured about please tell me. Thanks for any and all responses.

As I understand it, the molds for those minicons are linked with the molds for the partner Autobot/Decepticon, so you couldn't do one without the other.

Well, nuts. I want to get every minicon mold, but there is no way I can afford to get all the larger ones too (not any time soon anyway).

There's one thing I'm wondering about...

If Armada bendy Optimus is made with Overrun, and the main bot's been remolded for Cybertron, does this mean we'll see Overrun in a Minicon set?

And come to think of it, the minicons for Galaxy Force Blurr, Buzzsaw, Longrack, and Runamuck ended up in a Micron Booster series. What happened to the ones for the Cybertron editions?

If you're only interested in the molds, you may want to check online, several of the Minicon molds ended up being released in different color schemes in single packs in Japan.

There was a thread about this in the Toyark a little while ago.

    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=114735

Not a whole lot of Partner Mini-Con molds have been released without their Autobot/Decepticon counterparts. According to my personal collection listing (since I own every unique Armada Mini-Con mold), that's only 8 out of 24 that Takara recolored in the Micron Booster line.

Nope...those guys were originally sold separately. In Armada, each larger figure was released with at least one minicon partner. Additionally, there were other sets of minicons sold separately. What the original poster is hoping (and so am I) is that the minicons that haven't been rereleased in different colors might somehow be done, so that people who would like one of each mold don't have to hunt down every single crappy Armada figure.

I don't mean to be rude, but read the thread. It's obvious he's talking about the Mini-con partners that came with the Armada Autobots & Decepticons. (e.g. Leader-1 (Megatron's partner), Overrun (Bendy Prime's partner), Sparkplug (Superbase Prime's partner), etc.)

Hope that clarifies it for ya. :)

I've been wishing for partner Minicons to be released seperately for the past couple years, maybe someday.

minicon partners can be produced without the larger TF, there was this Armada video that came with 3 random minicons, I had Jolt (Hotshot's partner!), Bonecrusher and that skateboard

Takara released many Sparkplug recolors in one of the booster series

Honestly, I was kind of surprised that Hasbro didn't release repaints of the Minicon partners for the Armada retools, there were three Autobots and three decepticons, just enough to make another wave of those VS packs.
    It could've been like this-
    Blurr's minicon (Incinerator's mold) VS Buzzsaw's minicon (Crumplezone's mold)
Runamuck's (Nightbeat mold) minicon VS Longrack's minicon (Refute's mold)
Bendy Prime's minicon (Overrun's mold) VS Demolishor's minicon (Blackout's mold)
I know I would've bought those had Hasbro released them, partly because most of the Armada retools could still connect with the minicons in some way.

Also not to be rude, but you do realize there are people coming into the fandom that have little to no knowledge of Armada right?
