I'd really be interested in seeing the Japanese dub of the G1 cartoon.
I hear the english dub is a lot easier to find.
This reminds me of an old April Fool's joke I did once:
Why? The stories really can't be that different, if at all. Just in Japanese.
I heard they had a few 'new' episodes by piecing together footage from other episodes/
Unlikely to ever happen. At most, we might get the intro and some clips as an extra on a Generation 1 box set.
They also have the most annoying narrator in the world.
Oh they sure can! But it won't happen, at least not exclusively. I could see a possibility of seeing G1 releases with Japanese dub track tho, instead of the regionalised French/Spanish ones we normally get.
They're called "clip shows".
But what good would that be unless you speak Japanese, or they also included a english language sub track?
But do they tell new stories or are they just recaps?
YouTube - Transformers J-version clips from eps1&2
Yeah, I'll settle with just including the JP intro & outro as extras on some DVD somewhere, tyvm.
If I want to actually watch Transformers in Japanese, I'll just watch Headmasters or Galaxy Force or something.
There wouldn't b new intros as it was an American release to begin with so what's the point
the animation was the same but the music was different
Why would anybody care to watch the G1 cartoon in Japanese? More likely than not, you can't understand what they're saying, forcing you to read subtitles... but why would anybody want to sub a cartoon that originated from America?
Oh TVNihon and your overly-literal translation of Japanese.
