I've never been a fan of TF's that turn into animals that aren't Dinosaurs, but that Waspinator looks great. I really dig his jawline, the four finger hands and the huge feet. Posing him is going to be a lot of fun, and probably super easy. He looks a lot more intimidating than past versions of Waspinator. Gonna look perfect next to Blackarachnia. I wish they would have done more with his alt-mode's tail while he is in bot-mode. Like having it split or something. Glad it's not a detachable weapon like Classics Grimlock. That always seems like the cheap way out. Samurai Prowl is just win. Attachable armor is a gimmick that should get used, and done well, WAY more often. The subtle changes between this and his previous release are good enough to feel ok about picking it up and not feeling like it's a toss away just for the sidecar. Wreck-Gar has some problems. I wish those lifter forks would hide more in bot-mode. Aaaaand... o wait... that's the only problem. He's completely rad. The arm weapons are great. Perfect use of clear plastic. The extra details on them to a great job of making them seem dangerous. I love the head sculpt on this guy. It looks like his head is an old beat up TV stuck on a bot. Just great. I hope he doesn't require the forks to stand up in bot-mode, like the pictures suggest, but I am guessing his backpack makes this the case.
His bot mode isn't really that much different from his wasp mode...but still very cool! Definitely will pick this guy up.
WRECKGAR had so much potential to be a great figure but alas, the back kibble and forks ruined it Waspinator was already a simple pass for me And I don't see the need for another prowl. so basically all of these are an easy pass for me, unless Weird AL shows up at the BOTCON or SDCC then I may have to pick up wreckgar leave him in his plastic prison and have Big AL sign it for me
Anybody else notice a big similarity between the TF Waspinator toy and and a insectoid guy from Micronauts? Been a long time, but those translucent wings ring a bell....
Omg! I cant wait for the wave 6 to come out. They all have really good molds and paint jobs. But first, i need to get myself a Blurr, Swindle and Skywarp.
