Not that this will bother many people since K-Mart doesn't exist in many locations, but it seems they are now charging $18.99 per Deluxe both in-store and on the website.

They also jacked up the Voyagers to $22.

Is this the start of another price increase or is this K-Mart just being stupid? That's quite an increase over all of the competitors... usually K-Mart is somewhat more expensive but this is just ridiculous.

My local K-Mart couldn't sell the one Ratchet it's had for months at $15, how do they expect to move it at $19

Do they have like, a ton of Voyagers they're desperately trying to move, and want to make them look cheap in comparison? Because that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

 

I saw that too just last night. And to think, I encouraged guys in the Alabama Sightings thread to shop at Kmart for FOC deluxes a few weeks ago because they hadn't upped their prices yet.

My local target is 14.99 for deluxe 19.99 for voyagers.

 

I hope it's an isolated case and just Kmart being stupid, because no deluxe Transformer on store shelves today is worth $20 after tax. If it is another brand wide price increase I'm completely done with new deluxe Transformers.

 

I think this is pretty much isolated to kmarts, and particular stores in that case. A couple local guys reported earlier in the week that one store was 18.99 and another 16.99 so there's definitely discrepancies out there.

Still, I have no intention of ever buying a deluxe at these prices  . The only one I've bought since the 14.99 hike was shockwave. Nothing else worth the extra few bucks right now imo. Sure glad the price hikes come at a time when deluxes suck for the most part

Wow, I flat out had to stop buying deluxes once they passed $15. I can hardly justify that price to myself... which means I could never justify it to my wife.

I see myself getting forced out of collecting TFs with the way these prices are going. I would like to pay my mortgage AND buy some robots... but when it comes down to one or the other its an obvious choice.

The price increase wouldn't bother me as much if the figures were better. But the shittier figures with the higher prices is what gets me.

I didn't realize as consumers we were now paying more for more crap.

 

Stuff at Kmart goes on clearance after awhile. You just have to wait until they have their 50% all clearance toys sale. I have gotten some great stuff that way the last few years.

 

50% off still only puts them about what they SHOULD cost. Then add in the fact all the good figures are picked over. THEN, if your K-Mart is anything like mine it is already a terrible mess and cluttered to hell.

Good thing I have a Walmart next door.

I can understand $12-$16, but this is getting ridiculous.
