That's the original design for MP-03.

Ah if only the final product had stayed like that, pure perfection....

...until you look at the underside and discover giant square non-aero-conforming robot kibble....

But yeah.... I too really wanted the initial design....

I can't see anything. I see a topic and an empty post. Can someone repost it?

It's too bad they couldn't have found a better balance between that and the final version. I love my MP Starscream dearly, but the hip kibble is somewhat distracting and I'm terrified of doing the hip mod to it.

Too bad we didn't get that one. I remember how excited I was when those first images showed up.

At least with the mods the end mold is very similar in bot mode and has better stability standing.

I really really wish we had gotten that. I'm really happy with what we got, I plan to try that hip mod with the cut that allows the extra part to stay on the hip and the tail fin slide up and down the leg. I WILL get this done, oh yes, it will be done.

The dick as in Shoji Kawamori, one of the greatest toy and mecha designers on the planet? :lol

Yeah, I kinda liked the prototype, too, but I love the Hasbro MP version as well, so it's all good to me.

It really just boils down to compromise. No matter what, in the realm of TF one mode has to sacrifice for the other. MP Primes truck is pretty meh when you look at it. The side doors don't line up with the front window, there's a huge gap between the cab and the actual rear frame but in return we got a perfect robot. Megs is the opposite; perfect gun mode with a compromised bot mode. There's just no way around it and in the end it all depends on what you really want of the toy. As far as MPSS, yeah I would've loved a more articulate robot but the aesthetics work to his favor and in return for the sacrifice we got a nearly flawless jet mode. :shrugs:

The hip kibble doesn't bother me too much. I would've preferred the prototype but the mold is still pretty badass.

Now if I could just find a good deal on TCracker and the OG Seekers will be complete.

I really like the mold that got released. Yea the hip kibble is kinda annoying but they still look great. Id prob buy more repaints of it if they continued with sunstorm etc.
