The mods you've done and have yet to do really add coolness to this figure.
Be careful with those pieces from that Cyber Unit Spawn, they are really fragile.

I love how you did the joints for the right arm shields...Very strong, nice and clean.

Nice consistent paintwork too, though I didn't quite agree with the bronze (too vibrant) but it's ok :)

thanks may try a more dull color, any suggestions?
also just started to learn how to paint, just read up on the forums tutorials and was wondering how and what to use to get texture like rust effects.

    thanks

For me personally, I drybrush atop a layer of silver, and I apply light, so my work tends to look faded. But I don't really have alot of suggestions for you. Your megs is damn near perfect :)

I haven't done proper rust effects before though. You might want to search the threads for those who did.

Really, each brand of paint has its own characteristic shades of bronze/silver/copper. My advice is follow your own intuition.

But 1 observation I can give is that ROTF Megatron has 'innards' which are more reddish than his 2007 movie version, which are more on the gold-ish side. The external armour remains neutral silver. Make of it what you will.
