(if this particular kinder was already posted, please lock/delete this thread :D  )

As with the author of this thread: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...568134-kinder-surprise-transforming-toys.html

My daughter opened up a kinder egg this morning to reveal, low and behold a build and put together a cross breeded "transformers". Looks like Astrotrain met Skullcruncher and had a freak baby...lol.

For those unfamiliar with Kinder Eggs, they are a chocolate egg that has a capsule inside. Once you open the capsule, you have a treat. Sometimes a crappy non moveable toy, sometimes a build it toy and sometimes just a puzzle. Take the below as an example:

Anyways, on to some pics of the little guy.

In train form, I'd say he is about 1.5" long. In croc mode almost 3" long.

That's so cute, I want one. My kids used to suck me into buying them those choc eggs but I remember all "surprises" were somewhat lacking the surprise.

    Neat find.

And AWESOME example pic for those who haven't seen this product before.

I will say that I do think the toys used to be better in the 90s but what can you do, inflation sucks. :(  (Always hated getting a puzzle.)

lol...It's definelty a fun little toys. one of the "better" ones from the past few years.

Puzzles have always been the worse ones to get.

For easter I bought (among other things) my daughters each a 3 pack of the kinder eggs and both of them, on the first egg they opened, had the one I posted. Strange coincidence. I hope they find more lol. I wasn't home to see what the full line up was of these transforming toys though.

That's awesome! I always wished they'd have an official promo with Hasbro, but they said screw it and made their own!

I like the name "Railbiter" myself.

I want these! I like these eggs. Because they have a white inner side I don't find them as sweet or chocolaty? as eating a lot of other chocolates. So I enjoy these. But I've been getting lame paper blow up things and just overall lame things in them lately...

Now getting these would be cool. I really liked it when they had some kind of space like robots that looked like they were walkers... those were cool. I wish they would bring them back...

Are these still illegal to bring into the States? I heard from somebody recently that they were for some reason.

So, I guess this begs the question. Would it be worth it for me to buy a bunch of these & sell em in well packed egg cartons to people in the states?

I bring them in all the time - worst case is customs swipes your stash.

That said, they are illegal to sell in the US, so you aren't going to find them in your legit import store.

Why is that? Does it have to do with the toy safety laws (i.e. - toys being too small)?

As I recall, it is because a non-food item can't be hidden/placed/encapualted in a food item, or something like that.
