Thanks to many who have advised me on how to proceed....F_R, thyvipera, Project9, Ptitvite, fallensinn, MacrossFA19, Shotokandragon and many more...

The G1 head is from sculptbot, the crotch panels are from Ptitvite...

UPDATE 02 Jun 09: Bonecrusher completed!! But paint wear!! Anyone can help? Coat is not smooth too...really must look into using airbrush...

UPDATE 23 Jul 09: Scavenger and Long Haul complete!!! :)

Hi you must new here...the devastator is already being the most widely constructed custom gesalt here...the first being ptitvite...kudos to him for showing us the masterpiece and posting teh details of his construction.

    Anyway, here's the necessary parts:
    1) RID Landfill set
    2) Energon Barricade
    3) Demolisher
    4) Cybertron Landmine
    5) Armada Unicron
    6) Cybertron Primus
    7) Supreme Starscream
    8) Neo shifter joints + Lego

The joints wise, you have to trial and error yourself, almost all the devastators posted here have different methods and different joints...for me i used neo shifters and lego.

For the rest who have given me encouraging comments, thanks!!! Will post more pictures after the paint job!!

Badass man. Also happy that you listened and went with the G1 style head. Quite sick of seeing SS heads on gestalts.

Is that "Gun Metal" effect I'm seeing there, zfeak? :inquisiti

Nevertheless, it came out looking sharp & good. :)

I want to try building this Devastator as my first ever custom (scary!). Thanks for the parts list! That'll point me in the right direction and help me get started. Just a couple questions for you in regards to some of the parts used:

I know I won't need complete toys for Armada Unicron, Cybertron Primus, and Supreme Starscream. Can you be more specific about the parts that I need from those figures to use towards this project? I see that I need Unicron's Torso, Primus' Arms, and Starscream's Head. Is there anything else I'm missing?
