I've grown to like Groove as a training bra, but your solution is sheer genius. Very impressive.
Now that looks amazing!
The fact that this makes Defensor look G1, and with a proper scale(Motorcycle being a legends size) this just blows my mind!
IF this wasn't a one-off, id love to get my hands on one of these, actually me and my brother lol.
I might have over looked something, but the additional piece for the defensor head, where dose it go when not in use?
It always bugged me having an oversized motorcycle. I would like to purchase one if u make them available. Your designs are extremely pleasing!
You need to sell the design to a 3rd party company so that an upgrade kit could be made in plastic.
+1 on the whole "get this out there somehow, please" thing.
PE needs to buy this and produce a proper Defensor kit! What would be even cooler would be if you could extend and fold up the trailer and have an "arm mode" with Groove sitting on the upper shoulder.
Question! How are you doing the ratchets? Are they left over parts? If they are, any thought to using the Non-ref Prime ratchets as an easy replacement?
Okay, that trailer is brilliant.
Though, not being much of a Defensor person, those knees are what have really caught my attention. Those look great! =3
***Wow, thank you everyone for all the positive comments.*** I was a bit surprised by how much people like it, especially given the recent Deluxe Groove news.
Ah yes, that is an issue with that part...it really is only for combined mode. In fact, all the parts except for the trailer are for combined-mode only, as that was how I planned to display them. They could be integrated into something else, but I haven't thought much about that yet...
OOO, thank you very much for that tip, Code!!!
Thanks for all the interest in purchasing. Admittedly I was a bit surprised how much interest there is, given that there are the PE kits, Deluxe Groove, etc.
That said there are several improvements going on here:
1. The "Legends Groove" Leg/Trailer
2. Waist parts
3. Shoulder / Neck / behind the head piece
So maybe I'll run a separate thread on the third party forum to understand which parts have the demand, and see if Shapeways is an option. Since I designed these for myself, only the Trailer is useful in more than one mode...all the combiner kibble is just that--Combiner mode only. This may be a disappointment to some. For me, I just wanted Defensor to look more accurate...
Thanks Eddie. You bet, I'm getting MT...just LOVE the style and design of their combiners, I'm a huge fan. Will be fun to stand them next to each other at some point.
In fact I started but didn't finish the TFC Prometheus set...hope to get back to them at some point as I was hoping to tweak his proportions a bit also.
Great job. Love all the thought you put into that little trailer. I am currently building knee extender (Without ratchets) and shoulder extenders for Onslaught
The trailer is my primary interest.
My primary concern would be the trailer too but my strong secondary would be the knee extensions (universal for other combiners), the feet (nice to have a different set for each of them) and the crotch plate (as good as he is, that area of the mould needs some attention to make him so much better).
Very very nice
Thanks! I think the trailer would work with your knee extender as it uses the standard CW peg. Glad to hear some one is making shoulder extensions! I'll check out your thread!
Thanks, looks like 3 votes on the trailer. I'll have another look at the price on Shapeways...I hollowed it out like crazy but the print volume is reasonably high so it wasn't cheap...but hopefully at least one or two would sell? Lolzzz
i vote trailer and crotch piece!
TBH if you're selling them yourself, you might look into something like a PrintrBot. They're only ("only") about $300 and then you'd own it yourself, versus having to pay a pile to Shapeways.
Brilliant work! Very inspirational. Man, that is just so very cool. Thanks for sharing.
using the trailer as a leg was a very smart idea to keep legends grove still slightly in scale while still allowing the figure to integrate into the rest of defensor.
I definitely want the trailer! That is so awesome and multi-functional! Excellent work!
