It seems as if there is at least one classics Jazz a day. And here's mine. It's also the first time I posted a custom. I filled in his chest "hole" and head lights with Mr.Puddy. Painted his white parts black and black parts white. With Fusion spraypaint. Swapped crotch with silverstreak's. Custom shins guards, same head with ears, custom front bumper all made from styrene. The part that I'm most happy with is his Revoltech hands. Gave him the thumbs up and gun hand from Rodimus. They're great! I cut the stock hands at the stump. Then cut the pegs from Revoltech and glue. They really make the fig stand out. I forgot to pop his shoulder missle out. I'll post pics of it later. He's still has more worked to be had. Like head lights some decals as well. Hope you enjoy. Background by my 3 yr old daughter. Added extra pics with shoulder missles. *update* Added decals from pineracer set(bought them at Micheal's)The "4" on the sides of the doors were all cut and put together very carefully. Added headlights-there hard to see-from a cheap model kit front bumper from styeren. I think he's done.
This looks really nice! While there have been many Universe-style Jazz customs recently (every line has their popular custom anyways, so don't sweat it), you added some really unique spins on this guy. Great work Also, welcome, Radicon!
I absolutely like how your jazz custom is coming out .I think I might try using some puddy or epoxy to work on jazz if I ever come across on working on one
Even with all the Jazz customs we've seen since the summer, he's still a little under-represented. I like it a lot, the Rev hands especially.
Thanks for the welcome Superquad7. Thank you. The puddy real helps make him different from Prowl or Silverstreak. Yeah, Revoltech hands are awsome. Good thing revs come with, like, 3 pairs of hands. Thanks, again, BigHank.
I like that you modded his shins, but it looks like it parts-forms, correct? I see no hinge or other apparatus to swing it out of the way for the legs to properly fold-over during transformation.
Your right. It is very parts-formers. They are held in by friction. Just pushed in. I've been toying with ideas to make them "work" and fold in somehow. Thanks for your input, Redline.
Here's the final update. PS I want to go to Botcon so bad. It's here in my home state this year. Yes. This year might be my first.
Hey, thanks! That means alot. This is my first custom. I'm already working on another. Maybe, one day, I'll have as much as you.
your one trumps all mine,i cant sculp parts, well i probaly could if i tried, but i just like to paint toyishly and cartoony, all i have time for, plus money. i go cheat. krylon fussion is the shit thats what i use
If I can ever get around to painting mine, I'll have really good photographs to show how to make it happen
Don't worry. He will. I'd like to say again that this piece looks really nice. It's also a refreshing update and interpretation of one of my favorite characters. You've done a really nice job on everything. I'd also like to extend another welcome to yas
