Here's my attempt at an easy BT/ALT Ratchet. He's made from one of those KO White Binaltech Hounds that I bought from MAZ a Ricochet head, because I couldn't get a hold of Valkfan to buy one of his awesome heads and a little testers acrylic red. I also did the Jeep shoulder mod that I saw revlimiter do in a thread recently (not sure if he's the first but that's who I saw do it first) I cut away a bit more than he did in the pics he showed, which gives a bit more more movement

This one's a bit blurry sorry, I'm buying a new camera soon

The vehicle mode isn't done yet. I plan on adding a hard top, lights and some red crosses. Maybe some other paint apps and/or stickers if I can find them

I have one of the other Alt Jeeps (rollbar I think) that I want to turn into Hound, as I never actually got him. It's a project on the backburner, but someday I'm gonna want to grab one of them.

btw I think the Ricochet head looks great on that - looks stock!

As far as making Rollbar into Hound, I think it would just be easier and less time consuming to just buy hound, not to mention Hound's head is different. Just a suggestion and thanks for the kind words

I SO wish I could get ahold of a White Hound and a Red Smokescreen so I could do this myself...but every place that sells em wants like 50$...for a KO!!!

Yeah I paid a pretty nice mark up, but hey that's supply and demand for you. I could have paid a lot less when he first came out but back then I thought paying over $20 was high cuz I got all of my alts at retail stores. It's when it finally set in that the alt line was done that I caved and started paying the mark-ups to get more

Oh yours does look nice. I still need to find some lights for the roof I'm adding to mine. I like the red you added to his hands and waist but I'm affraid those areas will chip too much

Well the hands were a bit tricky with the paint applied. What I had to do is shave down the inside of the "cuff" (the side where the back if the hand faces) where the hand folds inwards, after that there was no more rubbing. As for the waist I haven had any issues with chipping or flaking.

I should do that to my KO Hound, he is just sitting there right now collecting dust.

I am going to buy a Rollbar at the Fry's Electronics down the street so that I can do this one. Good work.

Yeah man you should try this it's pretty easy because Ricochet's eyes pop out so you paint them separately and painting the silver on the face is pretty easy too.

    Good luck painting him.

I'm glad I can give some people some inspiration to do make another Alternator that isn't part of the normal line up. I know the guys on this board that have been customizing for longer than me are what gave me the courage to start repainting and modifying my tfs, it's made me really enjoy transformers more than I ever thought possible

I'm not crazy about Ratchet being a jeep, but given the lack of mold selection, I definitely like these customs much more than the ones I've seen done with the Scion mold.

    Nice job!

Lucs, great job man! I really hope you continue to make more customs/kitbashes and I'm pretty thrilled that this board has encouraged you to do so! It's also cool that you're passing on the same type of encouragement that got you into things. Mad props for everything man :thumb
