This is my second custom. I followed in the footsteps of others who had used te Meister mold to make an Alternator Prowl. I'm failry new, so I thought it would be a little easier than painting another Suburu brother.

I've been working on this one for a while...a little bit each night...in fact I started this before we even knew there was gonna be an official Alternator Prowl. The only thing its lacking is door decals that say "POLICE" and "HIGHWAY PATROL."

I do plan on adding the decals...I just haven't had a chance to order them yet.

Basically, its an Alternator Meister, with the trunklid and spoiler from an Alternator Shockblast, and a head from Alternators Silverstreak.

The shoulder cannon is a repro from someone I met on the Macross boards named Rohby. (He makes quite possible the best shoulder cannons that are currently available.)

The stickers that are on there currently are from the Hasbro Re-Issue Prowl, and the bumper guards are from a Robocop "Robo-1 Police Car" model kit from Toys R' Us.

    Take a look:

Like I said at Transtopia, awesome work! The paintscheme came out great. I also like the modern light-bar you used. And I'm just now realizing you mixed parts with a Shockblast. You really went all out on this one. :)

    That looks excellent.
What was the light bar from?

The lightbar is from a Testors Easy Builder Model Kit of a Chevrolet Impala NYPD cop car. It was on clearance at Walmart. (Theres also the same cop car, but already built available at Walmart...it also comes with the lightbar.)
Yeah I wanted to make sure he was at least a little sporty...I thought he could use a spoiler, so the trunklid and spoiler are from Shockblast. With the left over Shockblast (the one that is now spoiler-less) I plan on doing a "Shack" wave...
    Thanks everybody!

You could sign up for an account at MacrossWorld.com
Then PM a user named "rohby"
Hopefully he still makes them...I know when I ordered thm in late February/March...the demand had kind of stopped, and he wasn't going to make more...but maybe he is.
He did a real good job.
I've ordered JD Productions cannons...and while they looked good...they broke real easy...in fact I've broken them in two different spots.
These are very sturdy...and obviously a different kind of casting, made from a different type of plastic. The only thing, is that the missile and the launcher are two separate pieces...(no they don't fire) and you have to bore the hole yourself with a dremel...which takes about 3 minutes.

PM him and ask...if he says he's making more I'm up to ordering more too.
I think he charged $7 to $8 a launcher. You can get them in basically any color.

He looks awfully crisp! I am impressed. I like the clean black & white paint job. Good paint jobs always make me envious. :D

    How original. :ev:

Nah, j/k man. It looks great. Kinda surprised people are still doing Prowl customers, considering that the Alt is coming out in a bit. But it looks really good. I'd buy it. I'm really diggin the shoulder cannon; it's a nice touch. :thumbs2:
