Hey I know this has been done to death but now I've done it (but now you can own it, read the note at the bottom of the post). First off I gotta thank TheTransTorture for his thread about using 99% alcohol to remove paint cuz the last time I did it I used paint thinner and now I have a junker Skids with no doors and a craked up hood.

    What I did was -

Soaked all of skids' red parts in 99% rubbing alcohol over night and took a toothbruch to them in the morning to get the hard to reach places.

I then soaked a paper towel and let it sit on the scion's car decals and the bumper for about a half hour and then rubbed them off pretty easily.

Next I painted his upper and lower arms with testers acylic silver.

Lastly I took a dremel to an extra reissued Soundwave head and modified it to fit the ball joint. The head now has complete 360 rotation and slight up a down motion. I haven't transformed him back to car mode since I added the head, but I'm pretty sure it fits.

I already have a Soundwave I made from the Grimlock mold so I'm thinking about selling this guy. Send me an offer If you want him and please consider that the figure cost me $20 plus the soundwave head plus time to do it all. That being said I figure offers should start at $40. Oh and I will be adding a Decepticon logo to his left arm and I can put one on the car hood if you want me to

Looks nice. Cool that the head color is the same as the Scion body.

Yeah I like simple. I'm kind of in the camp of simple is better. I was always one to apply a few (and sometimes none) of the stickers that came with a figure and keep the rest on the sheet

That means a lot man, thanks

Thanks for the kind words guys. I know it's pretty simple but the main reason I got around to doing this was to practice with paint removal before I attack my new MP Starscream and ruin him

I know a lot of people are saying cybertron soundave would look good too, sadly I never purchased that figure. I would have loved to use the Laserbeak from the set and decapitate him for this. I do like Superquad7's version of him though, good job

Sometimes simple is better; that can't be knocked if it works man! You've done a really good job on this guy! Your "simple" work has made this a very slick figure! Great job! :thumb

Thanks for the props on my Alternators Soundblaster too! :)

Looks awesome. That body suits him. Soundwave was always one of the more bulkier Deceps. :thumb

Yeah I like it mainly cuz my Binaltech Broadblast is the same mold. I just wish he was a bit taller cuz I always thought of SW as one of the taller guys. I actually have another Soundwave from the mustang mold that I'm keeping for myself picured here with his minions

Then make one! I think the Mustang mold is perfect for Soundwave. If anything from the Alt line screams evil loud music player, it's the mustang mold. That's why i made one. And the Scion is of course known for customizing so Ifelt it was the perfect fit for Blaster.
