I know most folks are kitbashing Classics and Movie figures these days, so I'm a little behind the curve. However, I had a couple of half-done Alternator projects lying around that I finally took the time to finish up.

So this is my take on Breakdown. Nothing too spectacular.... just a modified Meister, of course. And despite my best efforts at masking, the paint is not as clean as I would like (especially around the wheelwells). But it'll do.

I also incorporated the turret from a G1 Breakdown figure. It attaches on the right forearm, and on the car roof, with super-strong magnets. It seemed the easiest way to handle the connection, plus it allows for the turret to still rotate. The faction sticker and "BRK DWN" license plate are from Reprolabels, of course.

    ARRGH!!!!!

I'm also working on Breakdown. At this very moment. With this same white RX-8. And the same color of blue. And the same silver abs. And the same head.

    ARRRGH!!!!!

still, great work. You're just a few days ahead of where I am.

    sigh.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. :)

And hey, Revlimiter, no worries.... You should still totally finish your custom and post it. I predict it will look much better than mine; mine came out a bit sloppy in places.

Plus, I'm certainly not the first person to do this, either. I've seen at least two or three other Breakdowns made from Meister on this board. They're all bound to have some similarities, but it's the details that set them apart from each other. I look forward to seeing your interpretation of it!

Thanks again everyone! Now I gotta finish up the next few projects.....

Yours really does look great. And shockingly similar to mine! hahaha. Is'nt the RX-8 a perfect choice for this character? He almost paints himself.

It really is. The blocky arms really have that "G1 Gestalt" look to them, and the Jazz head works really well for Breakdown. The cool thing is, Breakdown's toy version had a visor, but his cartoon version didn't.... so people could choose to use one or the other based on personal preference.

I look forward to seeing yours! I wish I had the motivation to do a Wildrider and finish up the Stunticons. I had an extra Wheeljack that I planned to use for it, but kitbashing just takes too much time that I don't have these days. After I finish up the few projects I have in progress, I think I'm done. :(
