Ok this isnt reallt transformers related exactly so I'll put it here..feel free to move it mods if needed. Now I am selling a few items on ebay, this lot of which will be the last for a while. And why? ebay buyers are so god damn annoying! LAst time it was foreign buyers emailing me questions on the item and shipping AFTER they won the item. GAH! Today theres an ass complaining about my delivary charges AFTER he won the items. WTF! I told him I wont combine, which is fair enough not all ppl do that. He is now making demands giving me a link to ebays postage rules. ANNOYING! What is more annoying is that now he can leave me bad feedback, and I cant leave it for him as sellers cannot. Well screw that, I'll leave a bad comment even if I have to mark it posative! Why are people spo bloody ******ed! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Ok rant over. your thoughts? advice on how to handle this idiot? thanks.
I agree. You should get your profit from the sale of the item itself. Shipping is a totally different thing and should be treated as such. I mean, I'd be pissed if a seller wouldn't combine shipping on my wins, why would I expect another guy not to be if I did the same thing?
I'd be up set if my items were not combined. That is just lots of extra money they have to spend to get the items. Makes no sense.
Due to not so big packing boxes etc, I can't really combine the items at all. And besides that, you can't just go and make demands on the seller like that. Once you bid you enter that contract.
"Not so big packing boxes etc." What are you talking about? You can't go, I don't know, get a bigger box? And what's the etc.?
agreed.. You're gonna need a bigger boa-- er box. Just get a bigger box. Be the nice guy instead of a jerk. Take that stick outta your ass man. Seriously man. You are seeking sympathy from us but no one here is siding with you. Save the guy some money and be nice. You'll get better feedback. I know I'd ask first on combining shipping if I bid.
Yeah, there's not much sense in complaining about negative feedback when you're screwing the guy over and don't need to be. I mean, you're not bound to do it, but seriously, it's the sensible and right thing to do.
To give some support to MasterD here ... sometimes combined shipping works against the buyer. How so you ask? From my own experience shipping something to Canada via USPS First Class (or Airmail for what it was called before) the package has to weigh less than 4lbs and be less than 36" in combined x+y+z dimensions. If the box violates either of those conditions you can't send it via First Class. Huge price jump for Priority at that point. To combine the shipping wouldn't have paid for the huge price jump. For what I had marked down for shipping costs reflected First Class shipping (as it was actually stated in the auction). Depending on what's won, it's size and weight - combining shipping is worse unless they want to pay for a higher shipping service. (Or have them sent in separate boxes =)
You guys think it might cost him money to get a bigger box? So if he gave the guy a break on the price to do combined shipping he'd be losing on out the money he spent on a bigger box? It's not always easy to find a real big box, and they can cost quite a bit. Not to mention possibly extra packing materials that may be needed. And I know it's a pain in the ass having to adjust your shipping rate when you're not sure of what the cost difference will be by combining them.
I know you don't like to combine shipping, but if you do the buisness will go alot smoother and your customers will put a better word out for you. That, or deal with a bunch of negative comments in the future. Combining shipping lessens the stress for both parties
