All the time I play online everyone sounds like a 5 year old, it makes me feel...immature.

If you mean on the Xbox 360, I think if you view their profile there's an option to "Mute Player".

I think. I haven't been on the Xbox for awhile, so I'm not sure if I'm right.

Yeah, I always mute the annoying kids.

 

Hoooo boy. You can't mute everyone all at once? You have to do it individually on their profile? That's brilliant.

I just figured it would be easier to mute everyone than do it one by one. Oh well.

I mute just about everyone if I ever use my headset. Reason being, every one of them are annoying, no matter the age. Always talking sh*t, or getting pissed when they get killed. Not to mention the screaming people. The worst is the kid with the new mic "hey guys can you hear me, can you hear me? HELLLOOOO!? CAN YOU HEAR ME!" constantly getting louder as they ask, even though you try to ignore them.

However, there have been a few times where I let some people slide, like this one guy in GTA IV. A friend and I started our own game, and this guy came in, got pissed that he kept getting beat and left, but he managed to get back into our game another 6 times!!! Eventually, for no apparent reason, we started calling him "paparrazzi", and would sing a line or 2 from Lady Gaga to mess with him,(yes, I know I am weird) after that we just got bored. We mainly did it because we were sick of hearing all his crappy talking.

Moral of the story, I got my mic so that when I play games with my friends, I can hear them and only them. But the mic rarely get's used otherwise.

The most annoying kind is the ones that rant on how "bad" you are.

 

I'm at least appreciative that on the PS3, you can't hear the other team.

 

I love it when people cry when their favorite character gets taken - "you can't be Starscream, he's mine!! WAAAAA!!!"

 

Hey, I did some research today and guess what. Kids even without mics are annoying. So that may or may not throw a monkey wrench into the mechanics of this thread.

 

The muted annoying kids, that's who.

The one that I find more and more is that one kid who thinks that because he is the only one using a headset at the time he is automaticly in charge, I once played a game with one kid who was nearly in tears because I wouldn't open the doors for him. Eventually he proceeded to the stage of insults. What about me did he mock? Why, the dialogue my character was using of course! What made it all the funnier was that what I heard Zeta say and what he heard Zeta say were obviously different.

*Scattorshot (kid) hits Zeta Prime (me)*
Zeta: "That's not helping!"
Kid: "No, no, I hit you!"

I know those kids well. They usually complain until they go down and I come to rescue them, if they haven't ticked me off.

 

The fact that in game talking is allowed is one of the main reasons I quit that annoying world known as Halo and sold my Xbox.
