UPDATE: decent scans added, see attachments

Finally arrived from the USA, see attachments at the bottom of the post.

Unfortunately all I have to hand is my crappy camera phone so you can't make out alot of the annotations, will update this post in a few hours once I've been out and bought a scanner.

One interesting thing for the time being though, the text at the bottom-right of the unicron planet mode reads as follows:

Also in hand are the series bible, final draft script for 86 movie (dated may 85), and early character & plot summary for the 86 movie (dated march 85).

The script and series bible are huge, not how feasible it's going to be to scan the entire things (have to buy that scanner first for starters!)

The series bible has already been seen in text form, so all that's different is lineart for each of the characters.

Even though the script is the final draft it still has loads of differences, such as unicron being called ingestor (apart from in the tacked-on page 1A which is dated a month later, with the first proposals of the opening shots of unicron before the cybertron/earth stuff begins), and a pretty different ending of everyone thinking Rodimus is dead, then closing on a shot of him flying out of ingestor back to cybertron while arcee blows him a kiss.

The summary is very interesting.. handwritten notes from Ron covering things like lots of experimentation with names for unicron, and external references for characters. For example this is who Wheelie is meant to be like:

    hence

Also possibly the first ever mention of the matrix as a new name for 'the essence' / 'the flame', and plenty of other fun little bits and pieces, such as a handwritten note to approach Orson Welles to play the part of the entity, and reference to which other 80s cartoon couple Hod Rod and Arcee's relationship is meant to be based on.

So synopsis at least coming soon, that's the real find here in terms of prevously unseen stuff.

Will have to have a chat with Jim/Boltax about what to do about the bible & script.

there's a text version already online, the only thing that's different is the reference lineart for each character

    The Transformers Bible

That site contains the real deal, compare page 43 with the attached image -

so, had a chat with jim - most likely won't scan the bible as it doesn't have much new stuff (unless anyone has requests for certain pages), but will get the synopsis and script draft posted up once i get hold of a scanner. i only have the items for a couple of weeks before i'm passing them on to the buyer, so it'll definitey be up by then.

If you want to scan them at high resolution, I would be happy to archive the high res files online permanently for anyone that wants to view them.

So the scene of Wheelie riding Grimlock was actually a homage to the Jungle book.

    Fascinating!

The buyer paid several thousands of dollars for these and as well as owning a bit of history it's also partially as an investment so I can't give them away as high-res files that that can easily be duplicated, I'm sure you understand!

However every bit of the information inside will be released to the community, so they'll be scanned in a decent enough resolution that all of the text will be legible and OCRable.

I think "The Robot Entity" a.k.a. Unicron would have been pretty cool if they had named him the subtitle they had then, The Entity. Now that I thought of that, the name would fit Unicron perfectly, and sound really cool. Especially if we are talking about the giant space god of chaos, and not the one that was created by a stupid monkey, lizard, fish thing, Primacron.

Hmmm... interesting that Unicron was originally conceived to be SO DAMN HUGE (about the size of a small star) when in the final movie, he really doesn't seem to be so big at all.
