Elfin Lied is too Adult for Network. I'd like to see Full Metal Panic, Please Teacher, or Captain tylor. 2nd list Guyver Tv Shin Getter Robo Project Ako Bubblegum crisis City Hunter (very under appreciated anime)(Jackie Chan even made a bad live action movie)
I so second that. City Hunter doesn't even have an official English dub, does it? Although I really like Ryo's voice the way it is. I say Hokuto No Ken. The full series...with the original music left in. I wish Adult Swim would grab some old forgotten 80s and 90s anime movies or series and put them on. I can't think of any of the top of my head anymore, minus Akira because I just watched it a day ago and the person who already mentioned Project A-Ko. Maybe Vampire Hunter D and all the old stuff Sci Fi used to play. Or get Gintama so I can finally know whether I wanna watch it or not because at the moment I'm too darn lazy to go check. I remember the few episodes I was show being pretty fun... And even though I've already seen it, I kinda wished that Adult Swim had gotten Gurren Lagann instead of Sci Fi. At least there'd be no giant stupid ads popping up during the dang show. (God, I hate what that channel has become now that I've bore witness to the horror. At least they still have anime at all.) I was actually hoping Adult Swim would get it when I first saw it back in 2007.
Add me to the 'prefer anime dubbed' category. I just can't get into the subbed versions. I'd like to see Hellsing Ultimate on there as a special every so often, although I'm not sure how much of that they'd have to cut down. IIRC, AdultSwim was considering bringing in Elfen Lied at one point, but realized they'd have to cut the show up too much to get it on the air.
Yeah. I loved EL, but HOLY CRAP it was violent. no way in hell it's getting broadcast in the US. As for what I'd like to see...I'm drawing a complete blank for some reason.
There are three anime that I thought had particularly good dubs. Neon Genesis Evangelion Teknoman Hellsing Ultimate Any of these three I will say with confidence I liked in both English and Japanese.
There's an idea, they could finally release all of Teknoman on the air. It got cut of for most people at ep 26.
That would be awesome. I'd give much for the return of Slade and that totally awesome opening narration. (No offense meant to Anime purists, but I that's the version of the show I first watched and it's what got me into Anime.)
