I'm working on a Custom Trailbreaker with a reissue Hoist and a Trailbreaker bed cover, but I never liked the original toy version. So what I did was take a Machine Wars Sandstorm Head, cut it in half, paint it black and glue it to the original mount. I actually think its closer to the cartoon head model and the clear blue eyes really makes it. I'm off to TRU tomorrow for the reissue Hoist and I'll post my progress (or finished product) soon.

Ooo that looks pretty neat (I must go read up on MW toys). Can't wait to see the finished pics, Trailbreaker's head is one of the few that really bug me.

I've been trying to find a good condition trailbreaker head and camper top for ages. I too was gonna take a Hoist and make my own reissue. Except I was gonna leave his head alone.

Trailbreaker, uh? I like him. Especially because he had this cool energy shield. Hope this turn out as you want. Good luck!

I'm gonna use Hoist for the body and just switching the head for Trailbreaker. I'm gonna paint him black and get some reprolabels to finish it up. Hopefully I'll finish it this weekend.

Thanks alot, but I have some old Trailbreaker parts to carry over (like the red knee and waist pads) Besides Hoist is like $7 at TRU and I like to paint, so I don't mind. Plus you get that shiny new toy look.

Say it doesn't look to bad, any chance we can get a close up of the head?

He should look pretty sweet all stickered up, I'm not sure if you should have gone for a Trailbreaker body instead though
