Well it's about time we got something to watch on Wii. Kinda wished it would be an update to play DVDs, but I'm cool with anime.

Hope it stays in Japan. Why? You've got to pay for something that you have only a limited time to view, then if you want to watch more, you've got to pay more. Unlike XBOX Live where you pay for the right to view shows and movies that you can download and view anytime, with the Anime Channel you pay for a rental period of a couple of days that you can view the material on the channel. There's no downloading which is both good and bad. Its like watching trailers on the Nintendo Channel that you have to pay each time to watch.

You relise that Xbox live has it the same way to? It's called the Rental feature.

And considering the prices of DVDs in Japan.. This is actually likly to be a big hit.

Think that's more of a hardware thing than a software thing.

Actually... No. It's software instead of hardware.

Yeah. Wii Homebrewers have made a mod to play DVDs. It's all really a matter of when Nintendo stops twiddling their thumbs and decides to release the software.
