Elfen lied has a great plot, unparalleled hyperviolence but not so much action on the whole. Id still recommend it though.

it appears you've never seen ninja scroll, so you've gotta see that. it was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned "hyperviolence." as far as visuals and a good plot, macross frontier was excellent. as was samurai champloo.

I'm going to say Queen's Blade, but only if you share your reactions after watching it.

I suggest Claymore, for the violence craving.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bleach, but the talking is so repetetive at times. I just wanna see some action, and Rukia or whoever has this emotional trip down memory lane.

    when it comes to violence:
ninja scroll is a good reccomendation.
    also check out Berserk.
plenty of Medieval Swordfighting and it gets fairly violent.
Gantz is pretty good too, but the manga is way better.

If you like Go Nagai, you may wish to check out the all-new Mazinger series that just started airing. First episode feels like two cut down into one so it's a bit of a rush, but it is very awesome and should deliver on the same level as Mazinkaiser, for around four times as many episodes :)

Gundam 00 has just wrapped, it's also an enjoyable series.

Elfen Lied is pretty much my definition of hyperviolence, it's one of the few anime shows to make me feel physically sick. Makes even Kill Bill look tame.
