Great review Peaugh. I am a bit late to the party when it comes to the animated toys and even the tv show. I just finished up season 3 and it breaks my heart to know that I may never see any more animated episodes or new molds form this toyline. I do have a question regarding the toy. I notice that TFsource has a Wingblade Prime up for preorder but it does not look clear. Does anyone know if this is a clear version or is it just hard to see in the preview pics? Thanks again Peaugh for the great reviews and keep up the great work.

 

All of the preorders around right bow are for the clear Takara version, unless there's some secret solid colored run that absolutely no one has mentioned. The first early pics of Takara's Wingblade didn't show the clear, so it's possible they just haven't updated the pics on their order page.

Fine. I think Shockwave looks better holding the big one, but the wingblade version looks good with Ratchet.

 

Hope there is a version of this one with the deluxe un-damaged prime. Still love this though, thanks Peaugh.

Peaugh, do you have the tabs on the lightbar pegged all the way into the back of Prime's neck once you've attached the jetpack? I received my Wingblade Prime in the mail yesterday and can't get the backpack to sit with the main thrusters pointing straight down like in your review. The only way I can even think of getting it like that is to not tab the lightbar securely into Prime's neck. The official instructions don't help much, either.

 

I do, yeah. It's tricky, and it does like to pop out without too much prodding, but it IS possible to have everything pegged in.
