WAVE3 of ANIMATED was released in Japan. Four toys are new sale in May.
I went directly to local Toy "R" Us at 9:00 of the morning. The reason is because it heard it unless only six "Blackout" is received if I confirm it on the telephone yesterday.I succeeded in purchasing him. A shop opened Blackout and became out of stock in one minute. The toy opens it from now on. I eat lunch first. Japan is a summer day more than 25 degrees Celsius,,,,,,,

    PS:
TV of ANIMATED broadcasted episode 8 by this morning. I introduce the voice actor who played guest character.

ANIMATED "Captain Fanzone"
    > Professor Princess 「豊口めぐみ」,,,MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED "Miriallia Haw"

METAL GEAR SOLID "Solid Snake"
    > Arcee 「高垣彩陽 」,,,ANIMATED "Teletraan I"

    > Mr.Black/Meltdown 「立木文彦」,,,TF G1 Season 4 "Cyclonus"

BW "Dinobot"
    > Snarl 「長嶝高士」,,,ANIMATED "Isaac Sumdac"
    > Swoop 「
Snarl and Swoop do their name for a cry in a Japanese version."Snarl!!""Swoop!!"

Speed King" from "Nanosec" appears.
A voice actor of Speed King is 子安武人 .

    http://www.tv-aichi.co.jp/TF-animated/index.html

He played BEAST Convoy in BW.

There's no way in hell I'm getting sucked into an import frenzy for a toy that was supposed to be released in the West in the first place.

If countries outside of Japan start to get him, even as an exclusive, maybe I'll bite, but I can live without Japanese import frenzy: it's never been my bag.

I felt the same way about Binaltech back in the day, after blowing a LOT of cash on Car Robots. Luckily, the vast majority of this line was released by Hasbro. I can spring for a handful that still aren't out domestically.

Can't wait to get Grimlock from BBTS. Although, I wish I had thought to preorder Blackout, as well.

That was different: those were just variations on molds that were available on both sides of the Pacific. This is a mold only available in Japan, and it's just not worth the import frenzy: I haven't imported a TF toy since Car Robots back in 2000, and I don't feel like getting back into the game 10 years later; there's too much competition.

I can't even remember the last time that's happened. Usually the US is the one to release figures Japan won't. (Cybertron, Energon, Beast Machines). The fact that Animated is my favorite TF show in years only adds to the frustration.

You're right, Binaltech isn't a good example, precisely because Japanese-only molds are so rare. Pretend I said Alternity instead.

Yeah, if Hasbro really cared, they never would've bothered with any of that movie stuff that made tons of money and forced those gullible retailers to not order less lucrative non-movie toys.

    I want Blackout too.

I'd be surprised if they didn't.

That said, while we're talking about Animated toys the US will probably never get, someone should totally suggest at the Hasbro panel to let Animated Voyager Thundercracker be a future Botcon exclusive, just for the likely groan-filled reaction. Although really, at this point, is there really any other plausible way to see some of these toys released in the States? I think not.

if only the internet could be used to buy toys instead of just complaining about their 'lack' of availability.

:lol  Only if they do Slipstream and Ramjet as well. And a Fire Guts version of Wingblade Prime.

In case anyone doesn't know already, Arcee's seiyuu, Ayahi Takagaki, is perhaps more well known for being the voice of Feldt Grace in Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Also, Mio and Azu-nyan weirding out over Blackout! Heh. (And I did a K-On!!/TFA crossover fic on the IDW boards this month, too.)

I kept thinking of an excuse for the Hasbro leadership as of why not to offer Blackout to the Hasbro release.
And it is probably because they thought the Blackout (size and toy design wise) looks similar to Lugnut while Lugnut (and Atomic Lugnut) are both dead meat shelfwarmers. They probably thought they can't lose any more $$ on making it..

But anyway with Takaratomy 's release, HASBRO again disappoints us, the US fans !!!
