Yes!!! I love Waspinator, and this figure looks amazing. Can't wait for it.

It also looks like - if you wanted - you could pose the figure in robot mode with its wasp chest combined with its robot head to give him a big monster wasp face. He seems like the kind of figure that would lend itself to alternate transformation modes.

Why dident he split his front wasp legs apart in beast mode? Is it the will of the universe for that to never happen?

I was wondering that too. It's obfiously possible, yet no-one seems to completely split them up to the shoulders in beast mode.

Also, I think I saw a little alcove is still left in the chest in beast mode to hide the tiny robot-only arms.

The only thing that would have made this figure perfect is a weapon, which they could have easily put in his tail.

Anyway, I'm really glad I got the Waspinator and Samurai Prowl combo at BBTS. Looking forward to playing with these :thumbs2:

If I buy this it will only be because it's in the show, other than that, I'm not too impressed.

I was a fan of beastwars but I'm not a fan of them bringing in characters from all continuities into this show. this is only going to confuse the kids who see this show further.

but anyway, to stay on topic an all.

bot mode looks okay, insect mode is a bit meh.

I will confess that it looks alot more like a WASP in comparison to the original beastwars toy so in that regard that is pretty cool..

How, exactly? Most of the kids watching the show aren't all-knowing geeks like us and probably won't get that there was ever a show called Beast Wars much less that this character was culled from it.

Personally, I like continuity crossovers. :)

Thanks for the review, D Banks. Waspinator is a definite buy for me. I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy the 10th anniversary reissue, so this will be a nice consolation prize. Excellent character, and apparently a not-so-bad Animated toy.

I like these 'crossovers' much better than things like Silverbolt as a flying dog or Cyclonus as a helicopter, neither of which have hardly any similarities to their G1 namesakes.

Though I must admit that it you say Inferno, the first Transformer I think of is the red ant in Beast Wars. That name was so much more fitting to the character.

Yeah, Looking good. Can't wait for the figure. The new camera performs well, and I can tell you've definitely been using that advice on shooting the vids. Great job, thanks for the video!

I wonder if we'll be seeing a cybertronian mode Wasp repaint/retool of Bumblebee to accompany this deluxe.
