Is this still an ongoing project? I can't help but imagine it would have been finished by now if it was going to be.

Sorry, I just crawled out from under my rock this morning. This is news to me. I hope this is something that definitely gets finished. I love the War Within and agree that I'd rather see work like this then the new stuff. :(

Looks like some crap somebody made on their computer, not good. It's all choppy and the animation is terrible.

Might be good enough for web episodes, but nowhere near good enough to put on TV.

I'm sure that if they do an animation of War Within for TV, they would do it better than the person who worked on it and put it on the web.

I'd heard of this, but hadn't seen it until now. I think it's not too bad for a fan production (I think Draven's "Redemption" is tons better, including compared to some of the tv series we've been given). I would like to see this if/when it ever gets completed. Could be interesting, could end up being crap; just like the Wal-Mart exclusive TF "Prequel" dvd could be if it is just scans of the comic made "animated".

This reminds me of those crapy old Marvel cartoons with limited animation...

I have to ask. Did you honestly think they were shooting for a TV show?

No, but everybody was like "OMG that's so great!", but it isn't. I wouldn't be able to watch something like that on any media.

Now, if someone animated one properly, it could be good, but not this.

It's a cool concept. It's someone animating a comic book series using art from said comic book, if you were expecting "Akira" you should be looking elsewhere from the get-go. No, it isn't television material, but it isn't really meant to be, is it. Your opinion might be that it sucks because it isn't to your liking, but saying it isn't great or that it isn't good by way of the animation is a personal opinion.

So does anyone actually know if it's gonna get finished?

And it's your opinion that it's a cool concept. And that's a big part of what this board is about--people stating their opinions. So that's what MMM did.

    What exactly is your point?

My point is that someone doing an at-home project involving animating comic book art obviously isn't going to be top-notch material. Holding that against is like hating it for something it isn't even supposed to be. It isn't "good enough to be put on tv", sure. But that was never its purpose to begin with, was it.

And MY point is that it isn't good enough for ANYTHING. It's unwatchably bad, IMO.

Edited. It's also still in the works and isn't even halfway finished yet.
